I draw on a long career in recruitment and education management, people and project management as well as years of self development work with inspirational teachers and self study. My passion is building connections: whether in coaching, helping make connection to one’s true self and one’s calling, or in recruitment, networking and business development where I love to connect people. It is trying to reach that all-elusive ‘perfect match’ that inspires me. When people match their true potential and passion with work that enables them to grow and develop in accordance with their strengths and highest values – whether it is a job, a career or building their own business.
My early career started in Japan where I was plunged into graduate recruitment events at the deep end and was soon promoting and running events in Japan, Europe and the US. Moving to London, UK I assumed responsibility for European operations of the company, running European recruitment events in Berlin and London, working with clients such as Toyota, HP, Deutsche Bank, Bank of England, Amadeus as well as international organisations such as CERN, World Health Organisation etc. Having lived and worked in three countries has helped me to form a deeper understanding of cultural differences and business practices specific to various regions; however it has also brought a deeper understanding of what connects us all – our basic needs and values. As a career coach, I have helped many clients secure international jobs, change career or move up. I advise my clients on the practicalities of CV writing, job applications, competency based interviews, to name a few. On the higher education side, I had the privilege to source Masters and MBA students for Judge Business School -Cambridge, ESCP Europe, IE, ESADE, CASS Business School, Imperial College and Bocconi University, amongst others. This is really important when working with clients who consider taking one of these advanced qualifications as the next step in their career, or have completed an MBA.
Most of my career was based around international travel, so I have run events in Japan, India, US and Europe and have also developed understanding of Russian, Central and Eastern European, Chinese and African markets. In the UK, I was lucky to have worked for the University of London Career Service and a number of private companies – pioneers in cross border recruitment and higher education management.
My self development work has been going on for many years- from Sidra Jafri’s School of Awakening, to Dr John Demartini’s Breakthrough Experience, a certificate with the Coaching Acadmy. I follow the work of Thich Nhat Hanh, Daniel Goleman, Deepak Chopra and many others….my passion for learning, change and growth is incessant. I have qualified with CTI Co-Active Coaching and have completed courses with the Academy of Greatness – The Transformation and Renaissance.
Some trivia about me: I speak several languages, I love Latin dance and music, fitness, I am a lover of world cinema, performing arts, I have published several book translations, I once gave a speech in Japanese to an audience of 300 people, I have travelled to over 50 countries but not nearly enough, I was doing business before the internet existed…I am mother, a lover of books, nature, dogs….and life!
